fullupwithfire: a woman standing in the middle of a circle of flames (tv | all those little cracks)

It's here! One of my favorite time of year! With two days to a topic this time, so I may actually manage to keep with it!

Challenge #1: In your own space, introduce yourself! Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I have a sticky post introduction here, so I'm going to try not to repeat too much, but the short form for anyone who doesn't want to click over: A mostly-fandom-based about under the cut! )

Day 9: Commit an Act of Kindness. In your own space, share what you’ve done, talk about what you’ve done, or simply leave a comment in this post saying you did it.

Plans for fulfilling. )

Day 6: In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your wish-list if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.

Icons (Community, and with text), sickfic recs, The Path fic/recs, and make a transformative works statement )

I don't want to shove them all in one post, because I'm going to wander off halfway through and never finish, so I'm sorry if this is a little spammy on your reading lists. There's only two more besides this for posting, though, so. Onward!

Day 3: In your own space, share a favorite piece of original canon (a TV episode, a song, a favorite interview, a book, a scene from a movie, etc) and explain why you love it so much. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it.

I did two, because I'm an over-achiever who likes to babble they both occurred to me before getting back to my computer to write things up, and I couldn't decide. But they're both free to experience online and fairly short, so!

Day 5: In your own space, promote three communities, challenges, blogs, pages, Twitters, Tumblrs or platforms and explain why you love them. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it.

Two blogs + one Dreamwidth writing challenge )

I shall attempt to go backwards from here after this, but for now!

Day 8: In your own space, post self-recs for at least three fanworks that you created. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it.

My creative output kinda fizzled after the first two months of last year, but despite that, it was my most productive year on Ao3 in a while, with a whole 5 fics put up, 4 for an exchange. And I'm actually pretty proud of most of it, which is nice? So here's the top three, and a bonus older thing.

3 MCU AU fic + a graphic thing )

I'm gonna make this a short one today because pain is fucking up my ability to concentrate. But Snowflake is here, and I love this challenge, so I wanted to try and get it started off.

Day 1: In your own space, talk about your Happy Place—the things that give you joy, calms you or keeps you sane. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it.

In a physical sense, our apartment is becoming this. Having a space where I don't feel like I have to put anything on and can just try and relax (as much as I ever do, heh) has been nice. Having my cats running around, demanding love. Having my partner ([profile] brightandravenous) around, which makes everything a little bit better than when I don't.

In a less physical and specific sense of it:

Any place and time where I can sing loudly and not get admonished or side-eyed for it is a happy place.
Reading the same fics over and over, especially the ones that can give me a very particular twist in the heart and stomach and then make it better.
A good ritual can put me in a happy place.
Watching good fanvids, or alternately, choreography videos.
Successfully making food.
