Wherever you find love, it feels like Christmas
Merry Christmas everyone who celebrates, a late/early/on-time/whatever it is for you happy of your Winter Holiday of choice and a good Tuesday wishes if you don't.
I spent most of Christmas Eve at my mother's, hanging out with family, watching many game shows while my mother cooked. It was very low-key, which is honestly the best thing it could have been, and I got to bring home food. We watched Muppet Christmas Carol, because I hadn't yet this year, and the Man Who Invented Christmas, because I hadn't yet at all. (I enjoyed the writing bits greatly, had some meh about other parts.) We did presents mostly on Yule (highlights: many many kitchen things, warm PJs, warmer robes, The Queens of Innis Lear which I need to start reading soon, and a staggering amount in gift cards, mostly from a very kind friend of my mother's), so we didn't even do that for the most part, besides the couple of things for my grandmother.
All in all, honestly a better Christmas than expected. When my family goes big we also go high-strung. This was pretty nice.
In other news lately, I have figured out why I was getting so little work with my job and fixed things, so I have hope that we'll be doing a good amount better financially from here on out, which is a humongous load off my mind. Now if I can just get the driving thing and doctor visits underway next month, I can completely pretend I'm an Actual Adult.
Other things I hope to get underway next month: I signed up for
getyourwordsout. Habits, not words, but I'm hoping it might help a little. I may be creating a filter to post for every day I manage it, both so I can have the info somewhere, and a place to track days that doesn't require a spreadsheet or something. We'll see. But if I can even get a little more writing done this coming month -- or at least not, like, burst write in January and February and then
completely stop again for the entire year, like I did in 2017 -- it would be nice.
I am running out of things to say, so I am gonna go answer comments/watch videos/get work done. Happy end of the year, all. Hopefully it's at least a decent last week.

The GYWO habit pledge, for what it's worth, also counts things like outlining, brainstorming, worldbuilding or character-building work as part of the "writing habit". Once I realized that, it became a lot less intimidating. <3 If my brain just wasn't coming up with words for stories, I could always go poke at other things. I even counted editing, even if it was just working on switching Death's Right Hand from third person to first person.
(ngl, though, the fact that Thorns counts because collaborative storytelling is still writing is extremely helpful for me. XD)
If you do make a filter, feel free to add me. I love playing cheerleader. :3

That's definitely a little bit helpful, but honestly even my plotting stuff has been pretty low the last couple of years. I'm really hoping I can give it a good shot, though. We'll keep fingers crossed. XD
I definitely will. I'll probably put up a proper "do you want to be on the filter" if I decide to do it, but I figured for having you on it. ♥
