So -- I find one of the things that suits pretty well while I'm working, on days just listening to music doesn't cut it, is listening to read-aloud compilations of Tumblr or Reddit posts on youtube. They're short, they're funny, they don't require much brainpower, and they don't suck me in so much that I mind pausing them if work requires more attention.

Looking for work noise today, I ran into this:

It's a whole lot of fun.*

*There are a few "the voices"-type jokes, a few arson ones, and some paranoia-fuel "you're being watched" stuff, so if any of that is not your thing, maybe skip this. Some jokes are definitely better pulled off than others, but I enjoyed the bulk of it.

(Personal favorites:
Your journey begins now! And no one can tell you when it will end!
Treat your body with kindness. You never know what else is listening in there.
Love and happiness will follow you everywhere this year. Right now, it's outside your doorstep!)

Those are really good, when they're read by all the other voices. I especially like the ones that have the mechanical tings, because I can completely imagine someone's AI doing this to them on the regular.
