This post is mostly about tabletop.
I haven't seen this link go around much, and as far as my research skills can get me, it doesn't look like it's because it's shady? So: DriveThruRPG is offering six charity bundles of tabletop games. Each one is $10, and each includes around $500 worth of content. (And a few other individual games are on sale as well.) Sale goes for about five and a half more days from the time I'm posting this.
I don't actually need to buy two bundles of TTRPGs I'll probably never use, but one has Scion, which I've wanted for ages, and one has Chuubo's Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine, which I think if I can wrangle my brother into he might enjoy (and also I've wanted), and I'm tempted to do it while I have the ability for once.
Between this (because I'm definitely getting at least one bundle) and the itch.io bundle including several small RPs, some of which were labelled as having been developed for distance play, I'm very tempted to dig through both of them and see if I can find a few short GMless RPs that might be good for online play and see if I can find anyone to join me. Because I'm still really craving TTRPG (and the fact that I'm currently making my way through a D&D show for work noise is not really helping that). And while I still badly want a more long-term kind of thing, I don't think I'm finding that unless I can GM or get a lot braver about joining a group of strangers, and every time I try to set one up as GM my brain just splatters and I'm not able to plan or organize a damn thing, so I should probably put that goal aside for now.
Anyway, I think I had something else to say but my internet is being weird and I need to go wrestle with it so I can get back to finishing up work.
