Baking adventures.
So we both really wanted cookies. It took me two hours to get up to make them, but I did get up and try to make cookies.
I really wanted chocolate chip cookies, but we had no chocolate chips. What we did have was a can of chocolate frosting, so I went looking it up and it looked like you could just put that in cookies and try that. So I went hey, I will try it!
I... did not realize at the time they meant buttercream frosting, not, like, Duncan Hines canned frosting.
So my cookie dough is really dry, I look up a basic recipe and realize I didn't put in butter, I throw in butter and... this does not look like cookie dough. It looks like brownie batter.
But it tastes like cookie dough.
And also really tasty.
But the pan I prepared for cookies? Is not gonna work for brownies.
...What I do have, I realize, is a cupcake pan.
So now it's 5:45 in the morning and I have a cupcake pan full of brownie-cookie-batter-dough that I'm sliding into the oven and crossing my fingers will come out okay.
In the end, what came out tastes like a cake. But a really good cake. So I am pleased with it, even if I still kind of want cookies. Moral of the story: If you're gonna bake at 6 am, be flexible, I guess.
I am keeping the recipe cause this is really good cake. If anyone else in interested:
1 cup canned frosting
2 cups flour
3 eggs
Half cup melted or softened butter (or maragarine, which is what I use)
Half a teaspoon salt
Half a teaspoon baking soda
Half a cup sugar/brown sugar, I used a little of each
Vanilla extract
Mix, put in muffin tins, and bake about 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
EDIT: to add pictures:
