When she's content she purrs, she thinks the house is hers....
I need to do an intro-y post for friending meme people, and start doing talking prompts, but this post is neither of those things.
This post? This post is cat pictures.
Put together for
alatefeline, but anybody who would like to come enjoy our girls, feel free.
So here is Persephone, on her first night after arriving at the apartment, having made herself instantly comfortable:

And here is Vaska, who is much more prone to hiding, and was surprisingly pokey:

They both actually settled pretty well, which is pleasing! Here are some of Persephone's favorite spots:
(This is the railing by the top of our staircase; she also likes to sit there and poke her head through the bars, but I have no good pictures of it. And to sit on the top step. It's a problem.)
(Under the little table that holds our fan + internet router in the bedroom.)
(The arm of the couch, which was Her Place in Florida too.)
(In a drawer full of laundry while we were still sorting through clothes. She is slightly sad this is no longer there for her to nest in.)
Vaska on the other hand does not have any desire for this. She just hangs out on the corner of the bed, regardless of whether we're there or not, or gets right under us for pets.

Also, despite her absolute hatred of having a blanket put over her, Vaska has developed a habit of burrowing into our blanket of her own accord. It is the cutest thing.

And sometimes Persephone comes to hang out with her.

And sometimes Persephone hangs out with me on the couch while I try to work, instead!

She much preferred this arrangement to this past week, where I've been working in the office with Bast, because that's meant Bast had to steal what used to be Persephone's favorite chair. I don't have pictures of her in the chair, because she mostly hangs out on it when we go to bed, but I do have her stealing the chair I've been using when I stepped out:

Here's Vaska poking around in the bookcase we use as a TV stand and dresser:

Persephone hanging out on the camp chair my mother loaned us:

Vaska loving on the cat scratcher:

Vaska hanging out on the stairs:

And a couple random cute pictures of Persephone, just because I can:

And bonus! Here's a couple cute pictures of my family's dog that happened to be on my computer:

(this one's from back in Florida, but it makes me laugh)
