We can be beautiful, just not today
Apparently it is the week of finally getting around to musicals that I've meant to listen to for ages? I spent about two days on Legally Blonde after my mother watching the movie at one point reminded me it existed and I still meant to listen to the whole thing; then I flipped over to Heathers at some point today, and I keep getting distracted so I'm still only halfway through, but hey, that's more than the two songs I'd heard before!
I have no idea how long I will get stuck on this one or where I will go next. Maybe I will finally figure out what Be More Chill is about. Or give Hadestown another shot, because I wasn't listening that closely when I tried the musical version. ...Or maybe I will bounce over and do the new Mountain Goats album, because that premise hit me clear in the id. Who knows! But honestly, I've been listening to the same musicals for a while -- and the same stuff in general, but I've been behind on musicals I've meant to hear for years -- so it's kinda nice to be trying something new. And it gives me something to do while I work, which is working suprisingly well. (Music does not always work for me while working; I usually do something video, but right now it's not too bad, so.)
In other news, I have... very little, given I updated not that long ago and my life is boring. Pagan Unity Festival plans are finally ironed out, so that's exciting; I usually enjoy the campout, so I'm hoping it goes well. I get paid the day I go, too, so I should have more money than usual to browse the vendors, which is exciting. Still have to be careful, but maybe I can find something to inspire an altar, because I still need to figure out how or if I can get that underway.

I keep hearing weird things about Be More Chill which make me curious. I know so little about most recent musicals, though; I used to keep up with things enough that even when I didn't know specifics, I had a general idea of what was going on, but I fell out of it at some point. This has been a nice trip back into it though, for however long it lasts.
