Writing meme?
Going to try and do meme responses while I work tonight, to see if I can get creative juices going, so have a meme thing that looks interesting.
Comment below with any of the following (and a fic, if the question requires it) and I will answer.
A: How did you come up with the title to [insert fic]?
B: Any of your stories inspired by personal experience?
C: What member do you identify with most from [insert fic[?
D: Is there a song or a playlist to associate with [insert fic]?
E: If you wrote a sequel to [insert fic], what would it be about?
F: Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.
G: Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?
H: How would you describe your style?
I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?
J: Write or describe an alternative ending to [insert fic].
K: What’s the angstiest idea you’ve ever come up with?
L: How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?
M: Got any premises on the back burner that you’d care to share?
N: Is there a fic you wish someone else would write (or finish) for you?
O: How do you begin a story–with the plot, or the characters?
P: Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an “architect” or a “gardener”? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?)
Q: How do you feel about collaborations?
R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?
S: Any fandom tropes you can’t resist?
T: Any fandom tropes you can’t stand?
U: Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.
V: If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?
W: Do you like more general prompts, or more specific ones?
X: A character you enjoy making suffer.
Y: A character you want to protect.
Z: Major character death–do you ever write/read it? Is there a character whose death you can’t tolerate?

Soooomewhere in the middle, more towards the gardener side of the scale? I often start a story with an idea where it's starting, an idea where it's ending, and a couple of spots along the middle depending on how long it is, and then see how things unfold. Some of those spots may shift around and the ending may not be exactly where I thought it was, but I have a rough idea where I'm going to aim for when I start writing, generally.
R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?
For better or worse, I was really into purpose prose that didn't have strong plot when I was in my teen years, and I feel like that's where my writing wants to go if I let it lose, except the purple isn't a good shade of purple, to bend the metaphor a little. Professional writers, I blame Francesca Lia Block; I no longer know where to find the fannish writers who hit me on that level.
Neil Gaiman and Seanan McGuire/Mira Grant probably also influenced me some, since they're two of the writers I've read most of. Stephen King occasionally floats to the surface.
T: Any fandom tropes you can’t stand?
This is one of those things where I feel like the answer is definitely yes but I... can't actually think of anything? I can think of a couple of things that I generally avoid because it's not my thing, but I can't really think of any general tropes that I have that strong a no to.
I guess if we count fandom characterizations that become a Thing in fandom there's a few, especially in the megafandoms I read. (Clint in the vents, Tony has nobody who cares about him except the Avengers, Thor is dumb; over in HP, Remus is practically addicted to chocolate, or just... honestly a lot with Remus.) But general tropes, not so much.
