Chocobox 2020 letter for
ifimightchime
Dear Chocolatier,
Thank you for making me something! (Or considering it, if you're a potential treater!) I have a lot of likes and prompt ideas following, but please don't feel constrained by what's here (besides DNWs). Everything I've requested are things I'd absolutely love to see anything for, so if you have something in mind, please go ahead and make the thing you're thinking of! That said, if you're looking for help or inspiration, hopefully something here will give you a nudge.
All requests are for both fic and art! For ships where I am requesting both & and /, I'm putting prompts together, because most of them I'd be happy with the same prompts for either version. Some ships (especially tiny ones, or ones I've been into longer) and some prompts got longer than others, but absolutely every prompt is one I want, and every ship I'm requesting is something I'm happy with any and all content for. I can't wait to see what you come up with. :)

(As a disclaimer, I am not remotely an artist and I know very little about art, so I very much hope this and art prompts offered are helpful and apologize profusely if they aren't! On the other hand, I can't draw to save my life, so I am always excited to receive art for ships/characters I love. Also, I'd be happy with art for any inspirational non-art-specific prompts as well as the ones specifically meant as art prompts.)
Black Closet (Video Game)
Asami Yvonne "Vonne" Ito/Elsa Gabrielle Jackson (Black Closet)
Since I've only got one ship here I'll put game and ship talk together! I've started this recently, and while I enjoyed most of the characters, Elsa and Vonne hit so many of my favorite things. The highly competent second trope, the service-y aspect of their early interactions in particular, the lost childhood friend aspect, Vonne's devotion and insecurity, her outsider status and geekiness - I have restarted the game several times and I'm finding it hard to try anyone else's route because Vonne is just that appealing as a character and romance choice to me.
I am still trying to work my way through the game at this point. I don't mind spoilers -- I'm hoping I'll be done by the end of the exchange, and don't mind them generally even if I'm not -- but it does mean my prompts are going to be more dynamic-focused and early game-focused than specific about later plot developments!

The Devil's Carnival (Movies)
These movies have so much potential. I love worldbuilding and development that we get of carnival-Hell and Hollywood-Heaven in canon, but there's plenty of room around it left to play with. The character dynamics in specific are sketched out in ways that are so interesting, but leave a lot unseen, making it a canon I'd love all kinds of platonic and shippy things in. I also absolutely love the aesthetics of these films, and would love any kind of art thing that takes inspiration from it.
Lucifer & The Ticket Keeper (The Devil's Carnival)
Lucifer/The Ticket Keeper (The Devil's Carnival)
I am constantly surprised there isn't fic for these two of some kind. Their interactions in the first movie got me shipping it, and Alleluia really cemented it for me: the glimpse of them early on in the carnival, their scene together after Doll leaves, the Ticket Keeper's frustration at being shut out. I love the sense of history in their scenes, and I really want anything that builds on what we get, whether platonic or romantic.
Cora & The Agent (The Devil's Carnival)
Cora/The Agent (The Devil's Carnival)
Cora and the Agent are both such fucked up characters, and so messed up both around June and around Heaven's expectations, that I really want to see something between them. I have a hard time seeing it as anything but a messy trainwreck, whether it's gritted teeth smiles to keep the act up or active hostility or love/hate relationships -- but on the other hand, I could see something drawing them together, even if it's only that they can't talk about their lost love with anyone else, and I'd be interested to see any other option for how it might go!
Cora & The Librarian (The Devil's Carnival)
Cora/The Librarian (The Devil's Carnival)
There is so little screentime between these two, but what little there is already makes me want more. The Librarian was such an interesting character and really stole his couple of scenes, and I love Cora, so seeing the two of them develop that little connection they had is one of my biggest wishes after Alleluia.
The Painted Doll | June & The Ticket Keeper (The Devil's Carnival)
I liked the little moments between them in the first movie -- the way the Ticket Keeper talks to Doll in the beginning, him caressing her cheek, and that he's seen swaying along and looking pleased during her song. There was less in Alleluia, but I did like the Ticket Keeper finding her, and the way he interacted with her -- I'd love to see there being a friendly, close, or even fatherly bond between them.

Eastwick (TV)
I watched this show when it first aired, and I've rewatched it regularly since then because of how happy it makes me. I'm not surprised by the relative lack of fandom, but I'm always excited when something pops up about it, because it remains one of my favorites. I love the focus on the women at the center of it, and I love the slow growth and acceptance of their powers, and all the mysteries -- I'm so glad we got some answers about Darryl's whole thing before the show ended, but I still want to know what the hell is going on with Max!
Chad Burton/Roxie Torcoletti (Eastwick)
These two are so cute. Every time I watch the show I forget how little of it Chad is actually around for, because he made such a big impression on me that it feels a lot longer. He's just adorable, and I love his puppy dog attempts to get Roxie to see him as someone she can be serious about.
Mia Torcoletti & Roxie Torcoletti (Eastwick)
I am a sucker for a good complicated mother-daughter relationship, and these two really hit that button for me. I love how Roxie's wildness affects their relationship, the way they're so often at odds but there's still clearly love there.
Darryl Van Horne & Kat Gardener (Eastwick)
Darryl Van Horne/Kat Gardener (Eastwick)
Darryl is such a great character in general -- I love the mysteries around him and the question of how much, if anything, is an act he's putting on for the three of them. His relationships with all the main characters is great, but I really love his moments with Kat, who is my favorite character in general. Her wish to be taken care of starts him off in such an interesting place with her, and her resistance to her powers also adds an interesting layer to potential relationships between them, whether platonic or romantic.
Joanna Frankel & Kat Gardener & Roxie Torcoletti (Eastwick)
Joanna Frankel/Kat Gardener/Roxie Torcoletti (Eastwick)
The friendship between these three is such a great core to this show. I love the way they support each other through it, how they're new friends but get so close so quickly, and just how much they seem to enjoy each other. The powers are almost an afterthought, as much as I love the magic; the way the three of them interact really makes the show for me.

Firefly
I've been in and out of this fandom for years. I love the crew dynamic and the mood of it. River is my favorite character, and her plot is my favorite part, but overall it's just an old favorite that I really love to revisit now and again.
Inara Serra/Simon Tam (Firefly)
I wish we'd seen more of these two in the show. There seems to be, or at least to be the potential for, such a great understanding between them, between their similar backgrounds and the way they handle the world. While I did like Simon and Kaylee, I've always been more interested in this as a ship, and how they might bond together.
Mal Reynolds/River Tam (Firefly)
This ship is a nostalgia bomb for me; it was my main ship for the show when I was in the fandom. The film really sold it for me, with Mal's crusade centered around River even if it's not entirely for her, and that ending, but they've also got such great little moments throughout the series. There's so many contrasts between them, but they've also both gone through so much, and they seem to understand each other in some way that really works for me.
Mal Reynolds/River Tam/Simon Tam (Firefly)
Two of my favorite ships smashed together! I've never been big on Mal/Simon as a solo ship, but putting River in there and giving them something to tie them together shifts the whole thing enough for me. Again, I like how much they've all been through, and how they might forge a bond and protect/help each other after that.
River Tam/Simon Tam (Firefly)
Simon has given up so much for River, and River is so aware of that in her lucid moments, and so reliant on and protective of him. I love how well they know each other, and the care between them -- that little glimpse of young River's admiration of Simon in the R Tam Sessions, and how Simon talks about her in the pilot, says so much about how they see each other to me. This was probably my first codependent sibling ship, and it's still one of my favorites.
(back to table of contents)
Hannibal (TV)
Since the ships for this overlap so much, I'll just put all the talk together. Abigail Hobbs is one of my favorite characters, period; I love her survival instinct and her fear, and the way she keeps trying to claim control of and for herself, and just gets wrapped up in something so much bigger and more dangerous. Her relationships with both Will and Hannibal are so interesting to me -- how Will projects so much onto her and has so much guilt around her, and how Hannibal pulls her into his game because she could be useful and he feels like it. The potential relationships there with one or both of them are so interestingly messy and fucked up, even assuming everyone's trying their best not to be, which isn't even really a safe bet in any case.
I'm putting the threesome version first because all but the first prompt here are ones I'd also be interested in for either Abigail/Hannibal or Abigail/Will alone, so feel free to go that way instead!

Kinky Boots (2005)
As my two requests overlap, I'm just going to ramble here. This movie is one of my favorites; I love how it's so feel-good at the end, but there's also real character growth, and the painful moments hit as hard as they need to before you get there. I love Charlie and Lola's developing friendship, how much they understand each other, and that final message is just such a lovely capper to the film. I also love Lauren, how she supports Charlie throughout, and how quickly and well she and Lola get along; she doesn't get as much focus, but she's such a great part of the story.
On the subject of the musical: I love both versions of this story, but I nominated the movie version because I slightly prefer the tone of it and how it plays out. (Also, the best moments for the threesome aren't really present in the musical!) That said, I do love the musical as well, so if you know it and want to use any nods towards it or things that don't contradict the movie -- like Lauren's story about her father's death, when we don't really get any family info about her in the film -- feel free.

Oxventure (Web Series)
Oxventure has been my comfort show through so much over the last year. They never fail to make me smile, and for how ridiculous they get most of the time, the heartfelt moments land surprisingly well. I like the humor, but at this point I'm also really here for the characters, their backstories, and the dynamics between them, so don't feel like you have to go over the top on silliness -- on the other hand, if you do feel like going for the kind of chaos the episodes often end up in, I'm here for it!
Corazón & Merilwen & Dob & Egbert & Prudence (Oxventure)
Corazon de Ballena/Dob/Egbert The Careless/Merilwen/Prudence (Oxventure)
I love the dynamic between the five of them; what felt like such a random bunch of characters at first has come to work off each other so well, and I love all the different little pair-ups within the team, and all the chaos they cause when all together. I feel like the shippy version of this would be a very fun mess, and the friendship is... well, also often a very fun mess.
Any of the group prompts here are ones I'd likely be happy to see with any of the other ships I requested as well, if you'd like to focus down to two characters!
Corazon de Ballena/Prudence (Oxventure)
I love their occasionally antagonistic friendship, and the moments when their care for each other shines through. Their individual dramatic, selfish-with-some-deep-caring-tendencies personalities seems like it would make for such an interesting ship put together!
Dob/Egbert the Careless (Oxventure)
These adorable, ridiculous boys together would be so cute. They're both such sweet characters, and both seem to want connections more actively, while the others stumbled into it -- with Dob's search for his family and his constant adoption of NPCs, and the way Egbert relates to the Order and especially Shattershield. I'd love to see that bond get even closer.
Egbert the Careless/Prudence (Oxventure)
I blame Court in the Act for this one! In general, though, I feel like the combination of Egbert's (often terrible) attempts at atonement and love of explosions and Prudence's consistent gleeful destructiveness makes for a fun set-up.
Dob/Merilwen (Oxventure)
Their friendship is one of the best things through the show. I love how they bounce off each other and how well their personalities work together, with Dob's general good nature and Merilwen's sweetness, and how her practicality bounces off his impulsiveness.
Merilwen/Prudence (Oxventure)
Another that I just think would be cute. Prudence is so friendly towards Merilwen, and so pleased every time she does something particularly frightening or immoral, and Merilwen seems so fond of her -- I just love their moments together, and I feel like they're be adorable, and mildly terrifying when crossed, in a relationship.
(back to table of contents)
The Path (TV)
I love the family and relationship drama laid over the metaphysical drama, and how much the two feed into each other, and how often the show is about messed-up people doing messed-up and often terrible things. I also really love how it's never made entirely clear how much of what's gone on is actually supernatural -- we get a lot of visions, especially in the third season, and a lot of weird things happening, but a lot of it can be played off as coincidence or suggestion of some kind -- but that in the end, most of the actually awful things they do aren't made okay just because they might be driven by actual metaphysical forces. (Even if some of them may write off their own actions because of it, I never got the impression it was narratively written off because of it.)
Cal Roberts/Eddie Lane/Sarah Lane (The Path)
I have been shipping this since about five minutes into the pilot, when Cal and Sarah meet up and he tells her he's going to come find them and "it's going to be like old times". Every time Sarah and Cal's shared childhood came up, or the fact that the three of them used to be close, it made me want it more, and the three of them in the last couple of episodes just deepened that. I love the sense of history, I love Sarah and Eddie's relationship, but also the very real tension and understanding between her and Cal. While Cal and Eddie are generally a little more antagonistic, I still find their interactions great, and could so easily see them aligning around the axis of Sarah if given the right push, especially when there was less going on around them to put them at odds.
The first two prompts are AUs I've been throwing around in my head and wanting for this ship for ages. They're broad ideas, but I would absolutely love any snapshots or little moments for them. Any other ideas that aren't specified would be great in either AU as well as in a more canon-based set-up.
Caleb Matthews/Hawk Lane (The Path)
This one hit me like a brick. Hawk's always been an interesting character for me, and I really enjoyed his push and pull between believing and not believing, and between loving his father and loving his faith before Eddie came back -- as much as he's a little all over the place over the course of the show, it felt suitable for someone coming into adulthood in his situation. I liked his other love interests, but Caleb as a character was also an interesting addition to the show, and I love that they actually went in that direction. The awkwardness in their date was adorable, and I was so glad when Caleb came back before the show ended and things left off in a more hopeful place for them.
My prompts for this ship are fewer/more general because I've only had less than a month since watching S3 to think of it, as opposed to years considering it with the threesome above, but I walked out of the show really wanting to see these two make things work, and I'd love to see however you think that might look like.
(back to table of contents)
The Umbrella Academy (TV)
I love the dysfunctional relationship between all the siblings -- whether they're continuing to be a mess while together or trying to be less of one, it's what drew me to the show and what keeps me coming back. There isn't a combo possible between them that I'm not interested in seeing as a ship, which is how I ended up with so many of them. I like the idea of that complicated mess including all sorts of romantic tension, so if you feel the urge to include nods to other ships I've requested or even put more than one in a fic, that's fine with me!
For any of the Ben ships, I'd really prefer original Ben to Sparrow!Ben, but I'm fine with however you want to handle that -- pre-death, AU where he didn't die, AU where he gets to come back to life somehow, absolute handwave about him being able to interact with the others while still dead, however you want to go with it.
While I still love this show a lot, in general I preferred season one and tend to write prompts thinking more towards pre-show or some nebulous post-fixing-the-apocalypse that doesn't necessarily take S2's events or cliffhanger into consideration. I am still happy with fic set in or after S2 as well! I just don't have a lot of ideas for it.
There are some prompts I'd love for this show between literally any ship, so I'm going to toss those in here to begin with and then offer a couple of individualized ones for the ships! I will read about a million variants on these ideas, so any ships for them would be great.
General Prompts
Allison Hargreeves/Ben Hargreeves (The Umbrella Academy)
I am really attached to this practically nonexistent ship with no real canon interaction. The tiny bits we do get give me the impression they were at least on good terms as kids, and I feel like they have complementary temperaments. Both seem to genuinely care about the others but also call bullshit on them when they feel it's necessary, occasionally in the form of pointed sarcasm. They also both have their moments of lashing out, in a similar enough way that I feel like they might handle those sharper moments from each other well. I also could see Ben wanting to get as far away as possible if he'd survived to adulthood, and that aligning with Allison's career goals driving her to go farther from home than the rest.
Allison Hargreeves/Diego Hargreeves (The Umbrella Academy)
I like how much these two snipe at each other, and how, after all that arguing, they fell into fighting together seamlessly and end up working together so well. Plus little moments like Allison checking on him near the end of the S1 finale. Their dynamic just works really well for me as it plays out on screen and I'm always wanting more of it.
Allison Hargreeves/Luther Hargreeves (The Umbrella Academy)
I have not rooted for a canon couple this much in ages. Every moment between them is so sweet, and I love how much they care about each other, but there's also so many fantastic opportunities for angst and pain there to explore.
Ben Hargreeves/Number Five | The Boy (The Umbrella Academy)
Another one where I really love the little hints of past closeness -- Five calling Ben's name in the apocalypse, and how quiet he gets when Ben's death come up. I also like how despite both having a lot of potential, neither seem to be interested in fighting to be considered at the top, even if it's for very different reasons.
Ben Hargreeves/Vanya Hargreeves (The Umbrella Academy)
I was interested in shipping this on season one alone, despite there not being much to go on, but that scene between them in season two really solidified this to me. I love how gentle he is with her in that moment, and I wonder how much her perspective of everything falling apart after Ben's death has to do with her point of view specifically on the family, and what that might say about their relationship.
Diego Hargreeves/Vanya Hargreeves (The Umbrella Academy)
I love that I could see this ship so easily going either way, with either the (mostly one-sided) tension from early S1 growing until it's an antagonistic attraction, or working their stuff out and having a really sweet connection. And what the hell was in that book that Diego specifically took so much issue with it? I've also read some of the comic and am aware of their history there, and I'm up for incorporating any of that into their TV show relationship as well!
Klaus Hargreeves/Vanya Hargreeves (Umbrella Academy)
Every time these two interacted I'm pleased, and Klaus' interaction with Vanya (and Allison, but that's another story) is one of the things I loved most in S2. Them both feeling not good enough or like disappointments to their father growing up gives them so much to potentially bond over, and I feel like a romance would be very fun, very sweet, or both.
Luther Hargreeves/Number Five (Umbrella Academy)
There are so many great little moments for these two. Luther's isolation and Five's time in the apocalypse gives them so much potential to understand each other in a way a lot of the other don't or can't, and I like how even in season one, it seems like Luther had an easier time accepting Five's leadership than he would most of the others.
Luther Hargreeves/Vanya Hargreeves (The Umbrella Academy)
I just think this would be sweet. They're both so socially awkward, and I feel like they've both had a lot of love and devotion to give without anyone there to give it to for a long time. (Or at least nobody who would return it, on Luther's end.)

- Stylized coloring -- all in shades of one color, in two contrasting colors, black and white with a single color to draw attention, those color palette challenges where everything is 3-5 colors.
- Colors I particularly like: Black and white, purples, blues, dark reds, dark greens, gold/yellow paired with purple, jewel tones, earthy/firey/watery colors for a character tied to that element
- Art done as an in-universe picture of a character (or characters)

- Prompts:
- Childhood crushes and pre-game pining! I'd love to see something like a childhood kiss before the two stopped spending time together, or Vonne watching Elsa and pining before they reconnect. Or Elsa missing Vonne -- I feel like even besides the option of different player choices, it's ambiguous how much she cared or thought about her even before she stops thinking about their friendship, but I'd like to see there be some feeling, even if it ends up mostly forgotten.
- Any and all things D/s. Service kink especially, but I will take anything! Something with BDSMverse could be interesting too -- maybe Vonne kneeling in public, or some kind of collaring.
- Since solving issues and mysteries together (with the others) is basically the game, either a detective/noir AU of some kind or the two of them going into some kind of detective work as adults could be fun!
- Art prompt: I love the observatory date for these two, and I'd love to see art of or inspired by that date or astronomy in general! The picnic date would also be a lovely inspiration.
- Art prompt: Little gestures of devotion and/or synchronicity -- handkissing, handing things between each other while looking at other things, fixing or bringing drinks or food, opening doors, fixing collars/jewelry, holding books or papers, or anything else!

- Prompts:
- Backstory! Building the carnival together, or the Ticket Keeper's arrival in Hell, or even knowing each other before Hell became a thing. Anything about how they developed their relationship, working or personal, to where it is in canon would be great.
- The rebellion against God succeeds, Lucifer takes over -- now what? Quiet moments in the aftermath, celebration, rebuilding, discussion, frustrations when things don't go smoothly, anything at all.
- I love the use of fairy tales in both movies. Anything to do with that or inspired by it would be great, whether it's Lucifer telling tales, the two of them living them out, art with themes or symbolism from a tale, or some AU retelling altogether.
- The loyalty kink just drips off that scene in Alleuia -- especially in the Ticket Keeper's declaration, and his plea not to be dismissed, but also with Lucifer's "I would never let you do that". Anything playing off that sense of connection would be great. Internal narrative, quiet moments together, shows of trust or weakness, anything at all.
- Art prompt: Little gestures of devotion, or of smoothly working together. Lucifer dictating while the Ticket Keeper writes down rules, private moments or gestures of commiseration or comfort, fixing drinks or food, etc.
- Prompts:
- Again, I really like the connection around both June and Heaven's expectations so -- discussing that, fighting about that, breaking down about that, anything that involves the two of them directly discussing one or both of those points.
- The Agent plays a role in Cora's rise to Songbird. Why, how, how does she feel about it, does it come from a genuine place or from owing her something/wanting her to owe him something, or is it maybe about making sure she doesn't go higher than that instead of helping her get there?
- One or both of them falls in June's place. If it's both of them, settling into Hell together and maybe forming an understanding or a bond in that way -- if it's one of them, maybe the other comes as part of negotiations during the end of Alleluia (whether they're alone, as the Agent in the film, or part of a team/group), and they meet up again that way.
- Cora gets worried her secret is coming out, and either through blackmail or after some kind of friendship is formed, gets the Agent to fake-date her publicly in order to help hide it. I'm here for any end to this, whether that involves being platonic friends but enjoying leaning on each other, being a horrible mess and a mistake that blows up, or transforms into some kind of relationship (whether that goes well or not).
- Gonna repeat my love for the fairytale elements here! The two of them living out a tale, AU fairytale retellings, discussing stories (maybe stories that aren't sanctioned in Heaven?), art using fairytale motifs or symbolism -- anything with or around this idea!
- Art prompt: The two of them on stage singing together, or dancing together!
- Prompts:
- The Librarian mentoring Cora through raising in the ranks in Heaven, giving her advice, or otherwise helping her to settle into place without causing herself any more problems.
- Secret friendship/secret relationship! Maybe God doesn't quite trust Cora specifically, maybe the Librarian is generally high enough that he's not really supposed to get close to anyone in lower ranks -- whatever it is, the two of them having to somehow keep the fact that they're close hidden.
- Roleswap? Either Cora as the Songbird already entrenched in Heaven, or as the Librarian/Caste Two, having given up her love and keeping her secrets, when the Librarian becomes a new applicant that she becomes drawn to for whatever reason.
- I am repeating myself again to say fairytale anything for this fandom is always something I want. The Librarian reading Heaven-approved stories, or secretly sharing ones Heaven doesn't approve, or living out one of their own, or the Librarian narrating Cora's story the way Lucifer does for characters in the movie (either to her, or to himself), or art with fairytale symbolism or motifs -- anything at all.
- Art prompt: Anything in the library -- reading together, one reading to the other, shelving books, hugging or kissing between the stacks.
- Prompts:
- Silent understanding, silent moments or mornings together -- in general, while I have no problem with her speaking in fic, I do love Doll's silence as a character trait, and I feel like I could see the two of them having a lot of comfortable quiet together.
- Talking about Heaven. What it was like when the Ticket Keeper was there and how he ended up in Hell, or Doll discussing what happened to her, or missing it, or being glad they're not there.
- Asking Doll to help with the show or keeping the rules or otherwise running the carnival. She helps with the Scorpion in the first movie -- is that a regular thing, and does the Ticket Keeper ask her for help with any of the others if they go off the rails, or anything else?
- Art prompt: Strolling arm-in-arm, cheek kisses, or other little friendly gestures of affection.
- Art prompt: The Ticket Keeper watching Doll sing/rehearse.

- Prompts:
- Chad lives! Anything, absolutely anything that involves him surviving. Roxie saves him, she never saw his death happening, however you want to handle it, I just want to see their relationship continue.
- Alternately, Chad continues to appear to Roxie either in her dreams or as a ghost.
- The absolute cutest thing to me was Chad encouraging Roxie to explore her powers and trying to help. Anything with more of that, whether it's just continued cute moments, trying to encourage her in a dire situation, or whatever you want to do with it!
- First meeting, first date, first kiss -- I love the point we meet them at in the series, but the fact that we don't get the backstory on these two seems like entirely the kind of gap for fanfiction to fill!
- Art prompt: Domesticity! Cuddling on the couch or in bed, meals together, cleaning, shopping, Chad helping at Roxie's shop, anything at all with the two of them just settling into the relationship together.
Mia Torcoletti & Roxie Torcoletti (Eastwick)
I am a sucker for a good complicated mother-daughter relationship, and these two really hit that button for me. I love how Roxie's wildness affects their relationship, the way they're so often at odds but there's still clearly love there.
- Prompts:
- Future fic! The sappiest "parent watching kid go through major life milestones" stuff you can think of: Mia graduating high school, going off to or graduating college, getting married, having kids, etc.
- Anything around them talking about Mia's dad, whether back five years when he died, discussing him again later on, or even something dealing with the events of episode thirteen with his reappearance.
- Roxie's powers are inheritable. You can go AU with this and have them both have developed them before, or Mia's can start awakening when Roxie's do, or she has her own awakening and comes to visit Roxie in the future when she realizes it's happening.
- Neither mother nor daughter have a date for Valentine's (maybe in the years between Mia's dad dying and Chad coming around, or maybe in the future), so it's time to eat a lot of chocolate and spend the day together instead.
- Art prompt: Again, the sappiest mother/daughter things you can imagine! Graduations, dressing Mia up for dances, tiny Mia crying over scraped knees, trick-or-treating -- whatever kind of parental fluff you want to go for would be great.
- Prompts:
- Somehow in all the divorce stuff, Kat ends up staying with Darryl for a while. Anything that involves them getting closer and bonding, either as friends or romantically: domestic day-to-day stuff; him encouraging her to embrace her powers; her getting to see sides of him she wouldn't elsewhere; or anything else.
- The moment that first cemented this pair for me, especially as a ship, is the exchange at the end of the pilot: "Just let me take care of you." "No one has ever said that to me before." Anything that goes off of that, whether as friends or romantically -- I just want Darryl taking care of Kat and how she reacts to it. I'm good with it being trying to get her further into his web, or feeling a genuine urge to take care of her, or some combination of selfish and benevolent motivations.
- Gift giving! For birthdays or holidays, as apology or a gesture of some kind, or at random. Darryl already surprises them with gifts in the show; maybe he makes a habit of it? Or Kat turning it around and giving him something.
- We see Darryl trying to help Kat access her healing powers, even if it is because he needs her to do it. Him helping her with the elemental powers too, either because they're in a situation where he needs her to do it, or out of any genuine desire to help.
- Shippy version specific: Either Darryl intervenes before Kat causes the fire in Mooning and Crooning, or is the one to check on her afterwards -- either way, he's the one she ends up kissing instead.
- Art prompt: Something with food or cooking! Darryl taking her out or getting expensive food for her, Kat cooking for him, Darryl watching Kat cook (or helping?), anything like that.
- Art prompt: Elemental themes in art to go with Kat's powers would be interesting!
- Prompts:
- I love their girls nights in general, and honestly I'd just be happy with fic that was just the three of them having one! Discussing ongoings around them or getting on any random topic, talking about their friendship/relationship, or just generally having a good time together.
- Pre-show, expanding on what they thought about each other before knowing each other, or some kind of five times when they crossed paths or almost got to know each other.
- What does their friendship/relationship look like five or ten years down the line from where the show ends?
- Roadtrip! For the hell of it, or for power-related reasons, or because one of them has to do something difficult and the other two are supporting them -- anything that involves the three of them hitting the road together.
- Powerswap! Temporary, or an AU where they always had different abilities. The power-character combinations are so particular in the show that I'd love to see one of them dealing with a different power set, either briefly or from the beginning. How would Kat's thing with her husband have gone if she'd gotten Joanna's powers instead, would either of the other two have ignored the visions, what would set off the first big strike of it if one of the others had gotten the elemental powers? Or how do they help each other figure it out if it's a temporary thing?
- Art prompt: Hugs! Or some other form of cuddling and affection -- comfort hugs, leaning together on a couch, excitement.

- Prompts:
- AU where they meet on Osiris, while Simon is still training or just after. Brief relationships or long-term ones, full divergence or something where it happened and then he still turns up on Serenity and she recognizes him, or maybe Inara helping Simon to save River or listening to him talk about it.
- Saying goodbye before Inara leaves, between the show and the movie, or staying in touch while she's gone. I'm happy with something where they have or start a relationship, but also with quiet pining, one-sided or mutual, or some sense of wistfulness/what could have been.
- Proposal, kidfic, or any other kind of domestic settling down future-fic.
- Art prompt: I'd love to see any little intimate touches to dressing or undressing: Simon putting on or taking of a necklace for Inara, zipping or unzipping her dress, helping take down her hair; or her doing/undoing his tie, or cufflinks, or buttons.
- Prompts:
- River and Simon leave for a while (maybe things have changed and they're not being sought after anymore and so settle down somewhere, or he finds some treatment for her but they have to have access to things Serenity can't supply); when she comes back, she and Mal start to develop feelings as they get to know each other again.
- AU where some prisoners of the Unification War were kept and experimented on in the same place as the Academy students, and Mal is captured. River and Mal bonding as prisoners, breaking out together, getting broken out (by Simon, or maybe by Zoe, or both?) and refusing to leave each other behind, or anything else in this situation.
- River has a crush, and either is really bad at hiding it, or just isn't bothering to try; Mal reacts. (One-sided, requited, or requited but Mal is in denial about it are all fine by me!)
- Art prompt: Long nights on the bridge together.
- Prompts:
- River pushes Mal and Simon together, and then they realize that there's something missing.
- One or all of them dealing with nightmares (or River's bad days in general), trying to help each other.
- Something develops after they're the last three left on the ship, whether that's bittersweet -- everyone else has found places to settle down, or moved on to something else that makes them happy -- or outright sad -- some kind of post-apocalyptic or war scenario where everyone else is dead, or there's been some kind of rift between the crew that drove the others away.
- Art prompt: The beds are pretty small on Serenity -- art of the three of them trying to fit in one could be sweet and/or silly but cute!
- Prompts:
- They've always had feelings for each other, and it's part of the reason their parents pushed River to go off to school where she'd be too busy to visit. Go wherever you want with this, but I'd love some kind of angst: Simon feeling guilty because it's his fault the Academy got her, or River not being able to remember how these feelings started and worrying it's because there's something wrong with her, or still trying to deny it after she gets rescued, or the two of them being protective/defiant about their relationship because they feel like after everything that happened, they've earned it, even if they shouldn't.
- AU where Simon works with a group breaking into the Academy and finds out that, because River's so important to them, she's on their list to save anyway, so he decides to keep it a secret how he knows her. River's confused and still being stabilized when she comes out, and maybe being monitored to make sure she's not a danger to anyone, and Simon's working with the doctors but can't hide his particular focus on her, and something develops before he has a chance to tell her the truth.
- River decides the best way to get over her discomfort with the infirmary is to seduce Simon there, or at least to kiss him there, a lot. (Feel free to go cracky with this, or steamy, or serious, with focus on River trying to push herself outside of her comfort zone and Simon trying to help her.)
- Art prompt: They can't marry officially, but they have a private bonding/commitment ceremony/handfasting just for the two of them.
Abigail Hobbs/Hannibal Lecter/Will Graham (Hannibal (TV))
- Prompts:
- Abigail plays their daughter in public, and is an equal partner in private (as much as Hannibal can really have equal partners, anyway). Private jokes in public, tense moments where they're almost caught out, or getting a thrill from behaving inappropriately with each other too publicly and almost getting caught, or being unexpectedly excited by the deception or playing the role, or one or more of them being uncomfortable by the act and asserting the equality of their relationship in private in some way.
- Bed-sharing, with a highlight on the vulnerability of the situation. Nightmares, walls coming down when very tired or just waking up, secrets or discussions of things that are hard to talk about otherwise in the dark, sad moments, scared moments, physical pain, or any other way you want to go with this.
- Abigail decides to get her power back by experimenting with dominance and submission. Hannibal and Will supporting or encouraging her (maybe it's Hannibal's idea to begin with?), and experimenting with her in either direction. (I'd prefer no implication of a 24/7 with dom!Hannibal and sub!Abigail, but would be happy with them playing in that direction if it's not implied to be full-time. Anything else, and any pair of who takes what role, works for me.)
- There's a few points I feel like time loops could be interesting for this, whether it's one of them or all of them -- the day of Garret Jacob Hobbs' death, the end of 1x12, and the end of 2x13 all come to mind to begin with.
- Art prompt: Washing or cleaning each other, especially hands/arms or feet -- whether it's domestic, or after a dangerous situation, or the one being cleaned isn't entirely there for some reason.
Abigail Hobbs/Hannibal Lecter (Hannibal (TV))
- Prompts:
- It's extremely obvious, but I cannot get enough of this ship during the time Hannibal's keeping Abigail and everyone thinks she's dead. Genuine feelings, pure manipulation on either or both sides, starting as manipulation and then developing into something else, or however else you want to approach it. I loved the therapy flashback in season three, so something that incorporates that -- maybe a kiss in a moment of heightened emotion afterwards, or maybe he uses physical affection or intimacy during them after they begin a relationship.
- Hobbs isn't caught until later, and somehow Abigail ends up running into Hannibal differently. Maybe Abigail has still been living at home, trapped and too scared to leave, meets Hannibal in a way that leads to her recognizing or figuring out that he's more dangerous than her father, and she tries to get close so that he might protect her? Or maybe she snaps and kills her father, Hannibal ends up consulting on that case and figures it out, and something goes from there? Or maybe her father still tried to kill her and she survives some other way, and ends up coming to Hannibal as a patient down the line? Whatever you want to go with; I just feel like there could be some interesting options.
- Outsider POV in an AU where the two of them leave together at the end of season two. I'd love to see her posing as his very young wife or lover and the gossip that goes on around them, but any other kind of speculation on the two of them together would be fun too! (Or just the two of them with her posing as his very young wife/lover after they leave could be fun as well, minus the outside POV.)
- Art prompt: I really love their physicality in the show itself and would love to see it turned just that much more up to be explicitly shippy -- kisses, or intense eye contact, or however else you want to go with it. Off the top of my head there's the way he touches her face during 1x04, 1x12, or the 3x09 flashbacks; the hug in 1x09; pressed back-to-chest in 2x13 or the 3x09 flashbacks; or helping her off the counter in the 3x09 flashbacks; but if there's another moment you can think of feel free to go with that!
Abigail Hobbs/Will Graham (Hannibal (TV))
- Prompts:
- Married life future fic. I'd prefer there to be some edge of angst or issues involved -- still trying to deal with trauma, or secrets being kept, or there otherwise being some angst fuel involved -- but am fine with it being mostly under a domestic exterior as well!
- Pushing Daisies AU: Abigail briefly dies, but Will has the power to bring her back, and sacrifices her father to do it. She finds out, whether the situation is slightly different so that it's just the two of them together and he tells her then, or he admits it to her later (maybe after they start having feelings for each other), or she feels different afterward and ends up dragging it out of him. Up to you if this keeps the 'can't touch again or she'll die' aspect, and how that affects them if it does! (If the wound stays open, however, please don't go too gory with that fact. I'm also good with it healing, even if that's not the way Pushing Daisies magic works.)
- I really like the idea of these two being soulmates, still meeting the same way, and having to deal with that fact and figure out how to move forward. (Feel free to have Hannibal present, or even go in an eventual threesome direction, but would prefer to keep the solo Hannibal/Will to a minimum if you go that way!)
- Art prompt: Desperate or sad kisses -- mid-argument, before or as something goes wrong, Abigail's ghost or hallucination kissing Will, during the scene in the antler room in 1x12 (either as Will's hallucination or in reality) or while trying to save her in 2x13.

Charlie Price/Lauren/Lola (Kinky Boots (2005))
- Prompts:
- Lola walks in on Charlie and Lauren together. Someone invites her to stay, or maybe they're in the office or something and she decides there's no reason for her to leave, or maybe she does go and then they realize they didn't want her to.
- Lola leaves for a while (whether it's intended to be a brief trip or permanent), and that's what prompts Charlie and Lauren to realize their feelings for her.
- Insecurity and finding a relationship balance. While I could see it going smoothly, I could also see there being some rocky territory before they figure it out. Maybe Lola feels like a third wheel, or Charlie doesn't feel like he's good enough for either of them, let alone both, or Lauren wonders if she's just there to give Charlie something more familiar and the two will eventually work it out between themselves -- or all of the above at once, or some other issue entirely.
- Art prompt: The three of them dancing together.
- Art prompt: Lola gets one or both of the others to cross-dress! Or anything else involving them dressing each other up in something they'd like, or just getting dressed up together in general.
Charlie Price/Lola (Kinky Boots (2005))
- Prompts:
- The moment in the bathroom where they both talk about their insecurities and fathers is one of my favorite parts of the film. Anything like that, with them discussing their insecurities, either in general or in a relationship with each other, would be great!
- A late night working together, or celebrating a victory in regards to the factory/company, ends in an unexpected kiss or confession.
- Unrequited pining! I'm down for this in either direction -- it seems entirely possible based on canon that Lola might have one-sided feelings for Charlie, but I also like the idea of Lola giving Charlie a very unexpected bisexual awakening.
- Charlie still doesn't really feel much about the shoes, but he does like being the one who gets to help Lola put them on and take them off.
- Art prompt: Nights in together -- meals, doing things separately while sitting together, watching things, lying in bed together.

- Prompts:
- Fixing up the house at the end of Unreal Estate was such a great moment, both for the cute bonding and for the mental image of all of them, with their tendancies for disaster, trying to fix up the house. Anything that's either continued repair and decorating, or in a similar mood to that scene would be great.
- More of one of the group getting captured and the others having to rescue them! Or of sentimental reunions -- whether after one of the other get captured, or a more serious one for Egbert.
- Since watching them adopt NPCs is so much fun -- the Oxventurers somehow acquire a child. (Whether one [or a pair] of them has an actual child, or they just somehow find an orphaned baby along the way.) How does that go, how do opinions on parenting vary, how screwed is that child, and how likely is it that child just ends up spending most of their time at Necropolis-on-Sea with Bizmuth in the end?
- It's fitting that everyone's issues or sad backstories tend to get used for humor, because, well, the show really runs on "everything for a laugh" rules, but -- any of them have a moment where their issues/sad backstories/mistakes bother them, and the others comfort (or badly attempt to comfort) or commiserate? Or maybe all of them get hit with some kind of emotion-affecting item/spell/whatever that makes them all have to face their issues and they just end up being a ball of sadness together?
- Dob writes a song for the group, or writes each member their own song!
- We already have one setting AU with the two Lasers & Feelings episodes, both of which I really loved. I'd love to see moments out of other setting changes or AUs as well. Urban fantasy, superhero, steampunk, rule 63, daemons, or just a different kind of space AU, maybe where they keep their original species -- or anything else! (This could be a lot of fun as art as well!)
- Alternately, the Oxventurers trip into another genre/setting of story while fully, 100% aware that this is not how things usually go for them. Whether crack ("Is it just me, or are you flying?") or seriously getting in over their head (can't skip the death gauntlet this time and everything's going wrong, fall into some Ravenloft-esque horror setting, etc).
- Art prompt: They finally get to go to a pub/have a picnic without some adventure starting!
- Art prompt: D&D-ception! The Oxventurers sit down to play some D&D (or other tabletop game).
- Art prompt: Prudence's friends/partners finally get to formally meet Cthuludad! (Looks of horror/delight, or tentacles dropping in out of frame to offer pats/sandwiches is fine, you don't have to actually put a full Cthulu in there!)
Corazon de Ballena/Prudence (Oxventure)
I love their occasionally antagonistic friendship, and the moments when their care for each other shines through. Their individual dramatic, selfish-with-some-deep-caring-tendencies personalities seems like it would make for such an interesting ship put together!
- Prompts:
- Starting a relationship while absolutely denying they're in a relationship. It's not that they like each other, they're just bored and there's nothing to do so why not?
- Art prompt: Back-to-back badasses! Or casually kissing in the middle of a fight while Corazon's slashing at something and/or Prudence is warming up the Eldritch Blast.
- Prompts:
- Something with Dob's athleticness and Egbert's clumsiness? Dob trying to teach Egbert to do something while Egbert's just not getting it, or Egbert admiring Dob and his backflips?
- Art prompt: Dob playing nursemaid or just keeping Egbert company while they're off-screen together in Watch Out!
Egbert the Careless/Prudence (Oxventure)
I blame Court in the Act for this one! In general, though, I feel like the combination of Egbert's (often terrible) attempts at atonement and love of explosions and Prudence's consistent gleeful destructiveness makes for a fun set-up.
- Prompts:
- One line: "you are so easily led astray, and I'm here for it!" I just want Prudence as the devil on Egbert's shoulder. (And maybe Egbert realizing he's happier that way.)
- Art prompt: Prudence using Egbert as a pillow, or chair, or maybe a ladder/footstool -- just generally putting him where she wants him and him going along with it!
Dob/Merilwen (Oxventure)
Their friendship is one of the best things through the show. I love how they bounce off each other and how well their personalities work together, with Dob's general good nature and Merilwen's sweetness, and how her practicality bounces off his impulsiveness.
- Prompts:
- One of them finds an injured/abandoned animal and brings it to the other (Dob because animals, Merilwen maybe for healing?), much cuteness ensues.
- They had to figure out the Bear Down Protocol at some point, so maybe the two of them mess around regularly and try to figure out ways they can help each other fight, since they keep ending up in dangerous situations?
- Art prompt: Hugs! More than any other pairing, I just want these two hugging. Kisses are great, too!
- Prompts:
- Since it's been stated that Merilwen's methods and morality are influenced by the party more than anything, especially when it comes to non-animals, and Prudence tends to be the least morally-inclined of the group, I'd love to see the two of them doing something that the others would likely find questionable to protect the group as a whole. Or Prudence confessing something to Merilwen that she thinks the others would have a problem with.
- Art prompt: Gift-giving!
- Art prompt: Prudence and cat!Merilwen in classic bad-guy-in-a-chair-stroking-a-cat pose.

- Prompts:
- Instead of Eddie coming to the movement and finding something to live for, Sarah and Cal run away and he finds them. (Maybe even down to finding the two runaways in the bookstore instead of the Ladder?) Anything with the three of them trying to survive together, Eddie helping them with knowledge of life outside the Meyerist movement, being protective of each other, healing from their individual issues. (Feel free to include Tessa as well -- maybe instead of Sarah choosing not to go with her, Cal catches wind that she's leaving and asks to come with them?)
- On the opposite end of the spectrum, the three of them getting together as young adults and becoming a power trio at the front of the movement. Does having a support system for longer help Cal be a little more stable, or does he just have people backing up his bad ideas now? Does Eddie still have a crisis of faith -- and if he does, considering how Cal's willing to try to keep him around when it's just for Sarah, how much are they willing to overlook or do to keep him when it's for both of them? How does Meyerism feel about three-person relationships anyway, and do they have to deal with anything from Sarah's family because of it? How does their faith and/or the stress of taking care of the movement affect their relationship, or do they handle it better with each other to lean on?
- All three of them are willing to do some pretty morally questionable things and go to pretty big lengths for things they feel strongly about, at various points, but we never really see the three of them set on the same side of an issue and working together while doing those things. What happens when they are? Do they pull each other back from more questionable decisions, or do they back each other up even when doubting, or talk each other around to things and get in even deeper?
- Sarah and Eddie clearly have a very intense sexual connection, while Cal seems to have some (understandable) issues around sex and intimacy. How do those facts play off of each other if all three of them are together?
- UST as young adults! All three of them pining after each other, or denying feelings, or otherwise trying to deal with attraction and a pull towards each other while they're "up all night, fixing the world". (I'm fine with canon divergence with an actual relationship starting, technically-not-canon divergence with something happening once and none of them discussing it again, or keeping it all as UST/thought to be unrequited.)
- The end of season three really rekindled my desire for this ship. While there's still tension and secrets and all of that, it also felt like the three of them were closer to being on the same page than in maybe the entire show before this, and I'd love to see something coming out of that. (Feel free to work or handwave around Cal's family however works for you, including infidelity, canon divergence so Mary doesn't come back, or just straight-up not mentioning it at all.)
- Art prompt: I love the Meyerist eye motifs! It's such a strong visual, and I'd love to see it put to use somehow in ship art -- necklaces/clothing, décor in a shared space, hanging over the three of them doing sermons/speeches/outreach together, haunting them in an AU where they left, anything at all.
- Art prompt: Since Cal is an artist and seems to be picking it up again towards the end of the show, some kind of in-universe art of his view of Eddie and Sarah, either separately or together?
- Art prompt: One of my favorite visual sequences is in the second episode of this show -- Eddie's treatment is so striking to me, and it's really stuck with me since first watching. I love the visuals of it: the duplicates, the intensity, the walls peeling away to show what he's thinking about, it all works so well to show how much is happening and make it feel overpowering. Obviously it's something difficult to duplicate in static images, but I'd love to see anything inspired by it if something strikes -- the images in the wall representing his thoughts, or the multiple figures, or something like that.
- Prompts:
- Since they have such different experiences, I'd love to see more of them sharing things that the other isn't familiar with - holiday traditions, places, stories, music, whatever!
- Resolution to where things left off in the show. I did like how things were left for them, but I'd love to see a more private reunion or discussion, and maybe an official decision to get back together. Or slightly more forward, Caleb settling into staying with the Lanes and the movement for a while.
- Domestic future fic! Other relationship firsts, settling into or sharing an apartment, anniversaries or birthday celebrations -- just any kind of settling into a life together.
- Roadtrips! Either of the full blown coming-of-age kind, or just some happy daytrips together.
- Art prompt: Cuddling, kissing, any kind of domesticity or affection!
- Art prompt: Repeating my above adoration for both the eye motifs and the treatment session from episode two -- I'd also love to see something done with either of those for this ship!

- Instead of everyone going off in separate directions, some of the siblings leave home together, or end up finding each other shortly after leaving and sticking together. I really like the idea of a ship getting together after leaving the house in this scenario, whether feelings developed before that or after (or maybe even deeper feelings not developing till after getting together). Get-togethers would be great, or trying to figure out how to handle life outside of the Academy, or snapshots of domesticity after they manage to work that out, or maybe coming back after their father's death and the other siblings reacting to them being together?
- Instead of falling into the past scattered, some of them land together (whether in 60s Dallas, or elsewhere, or scattered in different places/times). Get-togethers, feelings developing, or pining while stranded together would be great for this, or again, snapshots of what things look like after settling in. I'd prefer if the whole group isn't together, because one thing I'd really love to see here is the uncertainty of not knowing where the rest of the family is or if they're okay, and that driving whoever is together closer or even making them more desperate to stay together. (This could also be a fun setup for a ship playing fake married/fake relationship for some reason while trying to settle in!)
- [Requested ship of your choice] meet their doubles in Sparrow Academy verse (or just one of them does), and it turns out they're dating/married in that world. Finding out stirs up feelings, whether they were already aware of their existence or not.
- [Requested ship of your choice] experimented with each other as teenagers, and meeting up again as adults stirs those feelings up again.
- Something weird happens and there's a temporary powerswap. (Between all the siblings, between the two members of the ship, or between one of the members of the ship and another sibling are all good!) Any kind of helping to adjust and figure out how to use their new ability while they're stuck with it would be great. This could go in a more serious direction for, say, someone trying to adjust to Klaus' power, but I'd also be interested in something fluffier/happier -- maybe someone with harder to handle abilities gets Five's spatial jumps or Diego's projectile manipulation, gets a hang of it quickly, and gets to have some fun with a power for once. For specific siblings: I'd love to see a ship with Ben that starts when someone gets Klaus' powers for a while, or Allison asking someone who ended up with her rumors to use them on her to see what it's like.
- There is so much potential for soulmate mark AUs in this fandom. When do they come in? If they come in before adulthood/leaving home, how does that affect their growing up, and if they come in after they've split, who's willing to go seek out the other? If they get names, do they get each other's numbers or real names? How does anyone feel about it, either way? If it's images/representational, I love details and symbolism in marks (this would be awesome as art as well!) -- is it easy to figure out who it is? Is there any representation of the Academy/powers, and does it make the person who has it or is represented by it uncomfortable? If the marks come in when young, how do Reginald and/or the rest of the siblings react to two of them being linked like that?
- Dramatic rescues or post-rescue hurt/comfort, whether as teens still in the Academy or as adults. I'd also be really pleased with this as an art prompt specifically!
- Prompts:
- I feel like a lot of the siblings wouldn't handle playful competitiveness with each other well -- I could see most of them either falling into habit of taking it too seriously, or being uncomfortable with it even as play. Of all the potential combos, I feel like these two would be one of the ones best able to have some fun with it as adults, and I'd love to see something on those lines. Whether that's some random thing they tally between themselves, or something related to abilities in some AU where they both manage to deal with their respective issues about them, or even some back-and-forth powerplay and competing for control in bed.
- Art prompt: Date night! Going to movies together, meals, going on walks, events, staying in and cuddling -- whatever seems like a suitable night for the two of them together.
- Prompts:
- For some reason this is one of the ships I most want to see some kind of fake dating/fake married for. (Maybe because so much of what I love about them is either their bickering or their fighting together, so putting them in a domestic situation seems like an interesting change.) Whatever it is, and for whatever reason they end up doing it, I'd love to see the two of them in a fake relationship, dealing with developing feelings.
- Art prompt: Kisses with one of them pinning the other against a wall, sparring with one of them pinning the other down, one covering the other for safety -- any situation that involves one of them holding the other down/in place would be great.
Allison Hargreeves/Luther Hargreeves (The Umbrella Academy)
I have not rooted for a canon couple this much in ages. Every moment between them is so sweet, and I love how much they care about each other, but there's also so many fantastic opportunities for angst and pain there to explore.
- Prompts:
- Did they ever talk about Allison's desire to go be an actress, and did she ever try and convince Luther to go with her? They both clearly had feelings and seem to be aware of that; did one or both of them assume it was just a matter of time, or were they both unsure about it anyway? Did Allison say goodbye before she left? Give me some of that painful, lovely backstory between them, and feel free to go as sad as you want with it.
- Art prompt: Anything focusing on Allison's locket! Her wearing it when she's younger or after coming back; or Luther holding it after she leaves; or maybe in some alternate universe where they got together as young adults, or she convinced him to come with her, Allison wearing it in interviews, or wearing some kind of wedding ring or other significant gift with it?
Ben Hargreeves/Number Five | The Boy (The Umbrella Academy)
Another one where I really love the little hints of past closeness -- Five calling Ben's name in the apocalypse, and how quiet he gets when Ben's death come up. I also like how despite both having a lot of potential, neither seem to be interested in fighting to be considered at the top, even if it's for very different reasons.
- Prompts:
- Ben lives, and is there when Five's spat out of the portal in the first episode. How do they interact after all the time apart? Does Five go to Ben for help as well as, or instead of, Vanya? Does Ben believe him if he does?
- I really like the idea of tiny Ben having a crush on Five before he disappeared, whether one-sided or reciprocal. Anything with that, whether it's puppy love as kids, or discussing it again years later (whether with all the things that happened in canon, or in an AU where they didn't respectively die and disappear).
- Art prompt: Adult Five in the Commission (or after stopping the Apocalypse, either one) comes back to see Ben one more time before his death, even though he can't save him for reasons.
- Prompts:
- Post-S2: Ben doesn't disappear, but he can't return to normal, either; he ends up stuck in Vanya's head, wandering the representative mindscape she'd ended up in where she can come visit him sometimes (maybe in dreams, or some kind of meditative state?) and maybe able to watch her go about life through her eyes. Any way you want to take this, from a sweet relationships they're mostly okay with to full fucked-up codependency or anywhere in-between, would be great.
- Art prompt: Comfort! In either direction, or mutually, as kids, as adults in some AU, with adult Vanya and ghost-Ben, whatever -- they both have a lot of things going on in canon and I'd love to see one or both of them giving the other hugs, kisses, cuddling, handholding, whatever.
- Prompts:
- Any "forced to work together" situation, especially early or pre-season one -- stuck in a time loop/other dimension together, getting kidnapped by enemies of the Umbrella Academy or Diego's and having to work together to get free, end up turning up at the same event/place together and people start dying, whatever. I'm happy with either the tension getting hashed out and turning into a better bond, or the combination of adrenaline and tension boils over and they end up doing something stupid, I just think making them deal with it in the middle of other stuff going on would be interesting.
- Art prompt: Something with either of them watching the other -- Diego at a concert for Vanya, her at a boxing match, in a domestic situation, pining from afar, or anything else!
- Prompts:
- I've always thought that in an AU where Vanya is actually powerless, and there was no need to worry that the wrong situation would reveal what she could do, she'd probably have been training with the rest of them, so -- Vanya is either powerless or has a particularly unremarkable power, and she and Klaus end up regular training partners, since he doesn't really use his in combat either, which brings them closer together. Anything with this premise: developing feelings, bonding over feeling like the least useful power-wise, sparring together, hiding and messing around while they're supposed to be doing something else for training or missions, getting each other out of dangerous situations or watching each other's back, patching each other up and commiserating afterward, or something with them as adults where they had that bond.
- Art prompt: Since their personal styles are so different, a clothing swap would be fun, whether literally in each other's clothes despite the likelihood that they wouldn't fit, or dressing each other up! (Or even just Vanya in something of Klaus' as a morning-after/domestic kind of situation.)
- Prompts:
- I really love the idea that Five would still end up as focused on his family if he didn't disappear into the apocalypse, with it just coming out in different ways. So anything where he doesn't leave, and is the last one willing to give up on getting Luther to leave, whether he succeeds or fails in the attempt, would be great.
- This is kind of cracky as a set-up, so take it as serious or silly as you want: Turns out the Commission's secret base is hidden on the moon! Luther gets up there and finds the Commission's on-goings, and one of the first people he runs into is adult, assassin Five between missions. Now what?
- Art prompt: Luther carrying Five. Whether they're both kids, both adults, show-era adult Luther with body-of-a-teenager Five, piggyback, bridal carry, over the shoulder, out of danger, to bed, for fun, whatever strike you!
- Prompts:
- Luther trying to help Vanya learn how to use and control her powers, either in a post-S1 situation, an AU where they were never stifled or came back in earlier, or however you want to go about it! Alternately, or maybe in exchange, Vanya tries to teach Luther violin, or something else about music?
- Art prompt: Something with the height difference? Luther sitting or kneeling so Vanya can reach or kiss him, or Vanya standing/sitting on something, or maybe on Luther's shoulders?
