Money things have more or less settled. We're still not in the world's greatest position, because, well, we never are, but nothing else terrible has happened and I'm more or less breathing again. There's real-life shit that needs doing that I am failing entirely to do, but what else is new?

I am working steadily and keeping on top of that this week, though, which is better than I did last week.

In non-real life news, because it's easier:

- Shortly before camping and everything going downhill, we marathoned The Umbrella Academy, and I have been slowly spiraling down into the fandom over the last week or so. It's actually really nice to be this into a new fandom; the last time I picked up a new one with any real size to enjoy was... maybe Hannibal? And my main's been MCU for years, and since I'm slowly sliding away from that, I am up for it if TUA wants to swallow my brain for a bit. (...I should acquire icons at some point.)

- I have acquired both a podfic set-up and finally downloaded and set up vid programs that I've technically owned for a while. I've prepared things to start playing with podfic, down to grabbing fic links and knowing where to start, and now I'm trying to come up with similar small ideas to start with vidding. I'm a little nervous, but I really want to do the thing.

- Speaking of things I want to do, I'm eyeing [community profile] pod_together. On the one hand, it sounds like fun! On the other, I still need to start podficcing, and I can't help feeling like I'm going to be a terrible disappointment to an author somehow as I stare at the matchmaking signup. XD I'm gonna try to do it, though, cause I really would like to.

I. Thought I had other things to say but not so much! I will pop up later with a Thursday rec-day post, or at least try to, but that's about it. Onwards to work I go. <3

So like, I don't know if I could do a ton of this, but what if I wrote you fannish ficlets/drabble sized things for you to practice on. Nothing longer than 100 words or so but yeah.

>> I might mine the 100 words prompt generator, or the hurt/comfort one I have and try and give you TUA fic, if you'd like.

All this to say, I think you should do Pod Together and I want to help in any way I can.

Also, lemme know if you find icons. I want some too.

IF you want, just throw me a list of characters/groups you'd like and I can find prompts if that would be easier. Or you can throw detailed prompts, I don't care. Whatever works for you.

I loved The Umbrella Academy! I had read the comics before seeing it, and it was really interesting to see the choices they made and how different it was from the comics. Personally, I think it was a lot better than the comics, simply because each of the comic runs were only 6 issues each, and a lot was left undeveloped. I was really pleasantly surprised by how the show went and how much was developed.
